APM Group has been granted delegated authority on behalf of the Cabinet Office to issue sub-licenses for the re-use of the Cabinet Office's trade marks (PRINCE2, MSP, M_o_R, ITIL, P3O, P3M3, MoP, MoV) within an applicants product/s. Applicants can also apply to APM Group for a sub-licence to re-use Crown copyright content from the Cabinet Office publications, as published by the Cabinet Office's official publisher, The Stationery Office (TSO), in addition to use of the respective trade mark.
Applicants who wish to reproduce Crown copyright content from any of the Cabinet Office's publications without requiring a sub-licence for the re-use of a trade mark should apply to the Cabinet Office for a Value-Added License.
Please note: There are different routes for obtaining a sub-licence, depending on your requirements. To ensure the correct sub-licence is applied for, please view the "Which Sub-Licence" document.
APM Group can issue sub-licenses for a range of products, including books and software tools. Applications for articles not intended for sale, such as corporate brochures or other commercial or non-commercial services will also be considered.
The Trade Mark (and Copyright) Licensing Scheme includes a logo which is available to everyone who is awarded a sub-licence. The logo incorporates the popular swirl image, along with the applicable brand and wording to confirm that the product has been appropriately licensed by the Cabinet Office.

This logo was introduced to provide a mark that clearly demonstrates which products have been authorized to use the Cabinet Office's material. It is of great benefit to licence holders and customers, who are able to recognize those products which have been quality reviewed and correctly sub-licensed by the Cabinet Office.
New: As of December 2011, the licensing scheme is now a two step process, consisting of a 'Development Licence' and a 'Full Licence'. A development licence gives the applicant permission to develop a product with use of the Trade Marks and Crown copyright material. A full licence gives the applicant permission to use the product and/or release it into the public domain. There may be a charge for the granting of a full licence, which is calculated using the Charging Document.
