Crown Copyright Licence for OGC's Published Best Practice Glossaries/Acronyms

1. Definition

1.1 - Material: The Official Glossaries/Acronyms of any OGC Best Practice Publication as published by or on behalf of OGC.

1.2 - You, Your: Anyone reproducing the Material.

1.3 - We: Office of Government Commerce (OGC) of Rosebery Court, St Andrew's Business Park, Norwich, NR7 0HS.

1.4 - Period: The lifetime of the Material.

1.5 - Products: Your products containing the Material.

1.6 - Best Practice Publication: The M_o_R series of publications are published by or on behalf of OGC.

2. Grant

2.1 - We grant you the non-exclusive right to use, reuse, republish, copy and reproduce the Material in your Products for the Period.

2.2 - The licence is personal to you and does not allow you to download the Material to your website for access by others. You may link to this page from your website to make other users aware of the Material available.

3. Your Obligations

3.1 - to reproduce the Material accurately from the official source.

3.2 - to feature the following notice in your Products:

• "© Crown copyright 20XX. All rights reserved. Material is reproduced with the permission of the Office of Government Commerce under delegated authority from the Controller of HMSO."

Where there is insufficient space to allow for the full acknowledgement to be used, an abbreviated form may be used:

• "© Crown copyright 20XX. Reproduced with permission from OGC"

3.3 - to acknowledge OGC's trade marks, by featuring the relevant trade mark acknowledgement statement on the Material, shown below:  

• M_o_R® is a Registered Trade Mark of the Office of Government Commerce in the United Kingdom and other countries

3.4 - not to use the Material for the principal purpose of advertising or promoting a particular product or service, or in a way which could imply endorsement by any government department, or generally in a manner which is likely to mislead others.

3.5 - not to present out-of-date versions of the Material as being current.
